This event will take place on May 16th, 2004, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ashe Cultural Center, located at 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA.

In celebration of National Affordable Housing Month, People's Housing+ is committed to empowering individuals and families with valuable insights on affordable homeownership, investment maintenance, and fostering familial stability within their homes. Oji Alexander, CEO of People's Housing+, will kick off the event with a discussion on the state of affordable housing in New Orleans.

Satsuma Real Estate is proud to host its annual fundraiser “Building by Boiling”. This seafood boil cook-off will benefit PEOPLE’S HOUSING+, a New Orleans-based non-profit that provides pathways to homeownership for low-and-moderate income New Orleanians.

13 teams will be competing for two different titles: Judges’ Favorite and Belle of the Boil (fan favorite).

Each ticket will include all the seafood you can eat. Kids 10 and under are FREE. The event takes place from 11am-4pm, with the first boil coming out at 11:00am. In addition to the seafood competition, there will be live music by The Original Pinettes Brass Band and Flow Tribe, silent and live auctions, and a prize draw.
